Description: This position will be in the Distribution Construction & Maintenance (DC&M) Construction Maintenance division within Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Transmission & Distribution Business Unit. The successful candidate will perform work site and electric distribution design review to ensure design and materials are appropriate to meet project goals.
Typical responsibilities will include: •Working in a lead role to coordinate multiple projects. •Evaluating project status and instituting changes as needed to maximize crew efficiency. •Performing inspection and analysis of customer installations to meet construction standards, G.O. 95 and G.O. 128 standards, and applicable construction methods and safe work practices. •Finalizing job site readiness. •Consulting with customers, construction field forces and coordinating material and equipment staging and/or delivery to meet project start work dates. •Analyzing line and equipment needs and generating requests to clear lines equipment and coordinating related customer outages. •Reviewing material shipping and receiving dates and making adjustments as needed to meet project goals. •Consulting with planning staff, as needed or requested, to ensure design and materials meet project goals. •Performing on-line scheduling activities in support of scheduling supervisor on an as-needed basis. •Possibly serving as a lead or providing functional direction to CCM2s. •Possibly filling in for CCM Supervisor role. •Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices. •Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned
Basic Qualification: •Must have a minimum of three years of experience performing construction and maintenance activities, overhead and underground design, or inspection of the electrical distribution system. Job Requirements: •Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. •Demonstrated experience using California Public Utilities Commission standards or construction/maintenance standards (i.e., GO95 and GO128) to ensure constructability and safety standards are met. •Demonstrated experience working from construction work orders. •Demonstrated experience resolving conflict and negotiating win-win resolutions. •Demonstrated experience analyzing problems and developing and implementing plans/tactics, with limited information and under tight time constraints, to ensure proper allocation of resources and construction site readiness. •Demonstrate effective time management skills and demonstrated experience planning and organizing a heavy workload. •Demonstrated thorough project management experience, including updating project status, creating and editing reports, adjusting schedules, reallocating resources, and providing updates. •Demonstrated experience working both independently and in a team environment to meet shared goals and objectives. •Demonstrated thorough knowledge of safe work practices, basic electrical theory, construction/maintenance standards (i.e., GO95 and GO128), methods, techniques, tools, and equipment as they relate to the electric distribution system. •Demonstrated ability to serve as a temporary lead in the absence of the Scheduling Supervisor. •Demonstrated ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices. •Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. •Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation. •Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning. •Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.

This position will be in the IT Infrastructure Computing Services division within Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Information Technology & Business Integration (IT&BI) Business Unit. The successful candidate will provide oversight and leadership for IT technology equipment within the data center facilities as well as for the resources that support the facilities. The successful candidate will ensure that there is minimal disruption of critical systems.
Typical responsibilities will include:
· Managing processes to ensure the facility will meet and/or exceed service level indicators (SLI)/key performance indicator (KPI) goals, disaster recovery, root cause analysis, and client expectations.
· Managing change control of the infrastructure physical environment to provide a well-managed data center facility and focusing on maintaining and supporting the integrity of the data center infrastructure facility.
· Transitioning new data center requirements into the existing infrastructure environment ensuring that all procedures and specific support requirements are documented and adhered to.
· Maintaining all facility infrastructure hardware levels to ensure current and supported levels are maintained throughout the facility to protect SCE systems.
· Working closely with Corporate Resources to ensure power outages are minimized to maintain operations of the critical infrastructure systems.
· Conducting assessments, while maintaining standards and best practices.
· Assisting in the development of long-range plans, IT contingency plans, and disaster recovery plans.
· Performing budgeting and staffing activities.
· Managing employee performance and development by conducting performance planning/reviews and coaching employees.
· Creating and maintaining a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
· Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Basic Qualification:
· Must have a minimum of four years of supervisory or management experience in a computing services facilities operations environment.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Business, or technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Demonstrated experience cabling for network connectivity and staging equipment for efficiency.
· Demonstrated experience in computer room operations, facility management, and hardware and equipment maintenance.
· Demonstrated experience maintaining facility power/cooling to protect computer equipment.
· Demonstrated experience managing critical data center situations and following disaster recovery plans and processes.
· Demonstrated ability to assist in the development of long-range plans, contingency plans, and disaster recovery plans.
