This position will be a Telecommunications Transmission Design Engineer in the Telecommunications Engineering group within Network Services within Southern California Edison (SCE)’s Information Technology and Business Integration (IT&BI) unit. The successful candidate will act in a journey level role, performing telecommunications engineering activities on critical and strategic projects, such as Transmission Distribution Business Unit (TDBU) grid project, customer interconnect projects, fiber optics transport system, and microwave systems projects.

Typical responsibilities will include:

· Analyzing telecommunications requirements with respect to system capacity, system reliability, and technical parameters specifically related to the operation of protective relaying, remedial action scheme, and remote telemetry, cost, schedule, and scope. · Developing plan of service for TDBU major projects and customer interconnect projects including elements such as required communications facilities, facility site location, required systems, etc...Developing multiyear project cost and schedule estimates for projects.
