Typical Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the following: adequacy of internal controls, effectiveness and efficiency of operations, reliability of financial and operating information, identification of risks, safeguarding of assets, and compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures for the Customer Service Business Unit. He/she will conduct varied types of internal controls and/or process assessments, reviews, and consulting projects on existing and proposed processes and controls. The project manager will prepare the planning, scoping, and schedule for projects, and perform research, analysis, data testing, risk assessment, and evaluation of design and operating effectiveness of controls. In addition, the project manager will report on compliance, financial, and operational issues/controls, including compliance with corporate policies and procedures, laws, and regulations. Additional duties will include: developing and reporting recommendations for corrective actions and control/process improvements; participating in the implementation of process improvements; and participating in cross functional teams to ensure process controls are identified and maintained. The project manager will also be responsible for developing presentations to various levels of management, including senior leadership and interfacing with all levels of business unit personnel and internal and external auditors. AT studies and develops technologies in the areas of grid advancement, advanced metering infrastructure, energy storage, electric transportation, and consumer products. The analyst will be responsible for tracking, analyzing and providing actionable recommendations about Smart Grid legislative and regulatory developments. He/she will analyze state and federal legislation and develop responses to regulatory proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The analyst will work with AT staff, Southern California Edison's (SCE) Law department, and SCE's Public Affairs department to develop and advance a SmartGrid policy agenda. Other duties will include: developing analyses of policy impacts on AT's technology development needs and priorities. In addition, the analyst will interface with other SCE departments to ensure timely completion of projects and to gather relevant information.
