Typical Responsibilities: This position will be a Financial Analyst for the Treasurer's Department within Southern California Edison's (SCE) Corporate Center Business Unit (CCBU). The successful candidate will perform complex analysis and financial modeling on all issues surrounding the issuance and redemption of long-term debt and preferred stock for Southern California Edison. Candidate will be a point of contact providing support to internal SCE organizations and investment banks during capital market transactions. Typical Responsibilities: This position will be a Manager for the Corporate Finance/Tax Group within Southern California Edison's (SCE) Corporate Center Business Unit (CCBU). The successful candidate will be responsible for satisfying all tax filing requirements including managing and directing the filing of 150+ corporate tax returns, 100+ Federal and state partnership returns and preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments. The successful candidate will review income tax provisions for Edison International (EIX) and non-SCE entities including the monthly tax provisions, SEC filing disclosures and related EIX Consolidated calculations. The Manager will be the liaison between EIX and Edison Mission Group (EMG) tax personnel and will work with SCE, EIX and EMG personnel to analyze the information and operations of all companies within the EIX Consolidated group. He/She will keep current on the latest income tax and GAAP developments and analyze, evaluate, monitor and implement any issues that may have an earnings or cash impact to the EIX Consolidated group. The SRMC will initially be comprised of a 68 bed, general community acute care teaching hospital with an expected expansion to 300 beds, with a medical office building. The SRMC is located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, the largest city in Sandoval County which is adjacent to the greater Albuquerque area. Initial responsibilities will include the planning, development and implementation of integrated financial services. Primary responsibilities include long range financial planning, financial reporting, investment and cash management, and oversight of all financial affairs of the organization including the development, interpretation, coordination and administration of the finance division as well as purchasing, information systems medical records and case management. Special Events Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Special Events Manager is responsible for planning, implementing and managing special events for Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) and Friends of Wisconsin Public Television (Friends) including the annual Garden Expo and Quilt Expo, fund raising and promotional events that each draw over 10,000 participants and hundreds of vendor and volunteers. This position reports to the Director of Development as part of WPT's Development Department whose mission is to raise net revenue for WPT. The Special Events Manager works closely with the Communications Department on all assigned community and fundraising events.
SPECIFIC DUTIES 1. Develop, manage and implement events related to WPT, Friends and their goals. a. Work closely with WPT management to see that event goals and objectives are clearly defined, appropriately assigned and successfully executed. Develop, implement and monitor budgets and time lines for events and provide timely reports to senior management, partners and others as appropriate. b. Work to see that events enhance priority station communication and strategic initiatives and meet the fundraising objectives.
2. Manage and direct all aspects of WPT's major fundraising events, Garden Expo and Quilt Expo. a. Establish and execute strategic direction for these major events. b. Establish budget with expense, gross revenue and net revenue projections. Maintain systems to monitor budget in coordination with Friends' Accountant. c. Maintain mutually beneficial relationships with high-profile partners such as UW-Extension, Nancy Zeman Productions and other community and business partners. d. Solicit sponsorship support for Expos in coordination with WPT's Corporate Development office. Steward event sponsors and in-kind donors. e. Coordinate renewal of vendor partners for each Expo including establishing pricing and placement practices and mapping event layout, balancing needs of vendors, visitors and our educational goals. f. Coordinate the activities and the participation of the volunteer steering committees for each event. g. Manage WPT staff and volunteers participation in WPT's Expos. h. Manage online aspects of Expo registration, sales and promotion. i. Supervise and manage work of Quilt Expo call center supervisor and representatives including training, order management, fulfillment, customer service issues, and budget reconciliation.
3. Under direction of the Director of Development, manage calendar of fundraising and donor cultivation events, for budget, timing, resources and staffing. a. Coordinate smaller fundraising, donor cultivation, general public and community events. b. Advise others on managing events including research on locations, talent coordination, relations with key partners including hosts and partner organizations. Develop systems for managing events and using station resources. c. Collaborate with Communications staff to insure that all event-related messages are consistent, accurate, effective and coordinated with WPT's strategic communication goals. d. Maintain inventory of public communications/event materials including event signage, handouts, video presentations that are adaptable to varied events and presentations. e. Be conversant on trends and other issues for non-profit fundraising events. Research and provide management assessment of new opportunities for fundraising events.
4. Supervise events work of staff and community volunteers. a. Supervise and manage the work of development specialist assigned to Quilt Expo (50%) and support of major giving and board work (40%) and Garden Expo (10%). b. Coordinate and evaluate the work of Communications Department marketing specialist assigned 50% to events. c. Collaborate with Volunteer Manager to develop staffing needs and to set expectations and supervise volunteers.
5. This position also provides support as needed for key WPT events and activities. a. Provide support, as needed, for WPT Spring Auction. b. Support for other WPT community events including pledge drives, Friends board meetings, and Community Engagement events. c. Collaborate with membership department on performance and other events with tickets offered through pledge and membership fundraising. Duties include researching and pursuing opportunities and managing relationships with performers and venues.
