Senior Accountant

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is seeking applicants for a Senior Accountant.

The Senior Accountant will report to the Director of Accounting Services and have primary responsibility for assisting with the configuration, implementation, maintenance, and operation of the IT systems used by the Accounting Services department.

This position is also responsible for the accounting and maintenance of financial transactions, preparing account reconciliations and providing support for other Accounting Services staff.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelorís degree from an accredited institution in accounting or a related field.
2. Knowledge of computing systems for accounting and/or student information systems.
3. Experience preparing account reconciliations and accounting entries.
4. Three years of experience in a related position, with at least one year of experience related to enterprise resource applications on financial systems.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in higher education.
2. Supervisory or lead experience.

This is an administrative position reporting to the Director of Accounting Services.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in managing data, business information, and reporting of information contained within the college financial systems.
2. Interact with fiscal users to define and understand information needs and report requirements as a function of business processes.
3. Understand the underlying data that is needed for business information reporting in collaboration with appropriate database or other support analyst, and /or subject matter experts.
4. Collaborate with IT services to implement changes to accounting systems needed to meet business and financial reporting requirements.
5. Test and validate system upgrades, patches and modifications.
6. Train end users of the collegeís financial systems.
7. Process accounting transactions and prepare account reconciliations.
8. Understand and accept the role to be played as a partner in an educational enterprise serving the best interests of the students.
9. Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with standards, mission, and goals of Truckee Meadows Community College.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Budget Assistant

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is seeking applicants for a Budget Assistant.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Associateís degree from an accredited institution.
2. Two years experience in a related position.

A Bachelorís degree in a related field from an accredited institution may be substituted for an Associateís degree and two years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working directly with customers.
2. Experience using enterprise accounting systems.
3. Experience in higher education.
